This Chester County Armory listing is for a West Hurley, NY factory Auto-Ordnance Thompson M1A1 .45acp transferable sub machine gun.
Built by Auto-Ordnance using original factory Auto-Ordnance sub-contracted parts supplied by Quality Fabrications, this West Hurley, NY Thompson M1A1 is an excellent NFA transferable machine gun for the investment collector who desires to fire his machine guns. This later-production factory original model is an excellent “shooter version.” Structurally and mechanically, it is excellent overall condition. Cosmetically, it displays minor cosmetic scratches and finish wear in the original bluing and lettering. The original wooden furniture is in above average condition, with no cracks and only very light minor surface markings.
Mechanically, this model shows minor use and wear on the bolt and internals, but the bore is still very bright and shiny with good delineated rifling. The metalwork is in fantastic condition, with no dents, dings, crack, malformations, gouges, etc. of any note. All controls operate as intended and the selector controls have been upgraded with WW2 GI parts. This model will come with two original US marked 30rd GI box magazines, two 20rd box magazines, and we will also include a wooden front foregrip and screw to allow the M1 forend to be removed and replaced with a “Tommy Gun” vertical grip, if desired.
This NFA transferable machine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy eForm transfer. The NFA current paperwork lists “Quality Fabrications/West Hurley/Auto-Ordnance” as the manufacturer and “M1A1” as the model.
