This Chester County Armory listing is for a fantastic condition Chinese Min Shan AKS Type 56-1 7.62x39mm transferable machine gun.

This model started out life as semi-automatic AKS 7.62x39mm under-folder that was made in the famed Min Shan factory in China, known for the high-quality AK’s produced by China and often shipped to the North Vietnamese Army during the Vietnam War. This particular model was imported by ClayCo Sports in Clay Center, Kansas. It was then converted to a select fire full-auto weapon and Form 1 registered, as such.

Featuring an under-folding stock, as well as a wooden vertical foregrip, this transferable machine gun is in amazing overall condition! The internal mechanics are crisp and clean, with very little use-wear noted. The metalwork is in fantastic condition, with no dents, dings, cracks, scratches, gouges, or malformations of any kind. The bolt face and chrome-lined barrel are both clean, bright, and shiny. The rifling is crisp and clean. Externally, the bluing is in factory original condition, with only some minor wear noted on the receiver at the metal-to-metal contact points of the under-folding stock. The original Bakelite pistol grip and front wooden furniture are also in spectacular condition. The left side of the receiver originally had the words “AKS SEMI-AUTO” marked on it from Min Shan, but the word “SEMI” has been stamped over with a rough “56” to designate the conversion to select-fire.

This transferable machine gun will come with one 20rd 7.62x39mm magazine. It is currently on an eFormable Form 3 that lists “Form 1 Registration” as the manufacturer and “AKS” as the model. The previous paper Form 4 for this weapon listed “Min Shan Factory, China” as the manufacturer.
