Key Features
- Integrated Compensator — why it matters: reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil for faster follow-up shots in competition or defensive drills.
- RMR-Style Optic Cut — why it matters: lets you mount a red dot directly without an adapter plate, keeping your sight low and secure.
- Modular Grip Panels — why it matters: you can swap backstraps to fit your hand size, improving control and accuracy.
- Tenifer-Style Finish — why it matters: resists holster wear, sweat, and moisture, so the slide stays functional and rust-free.
- Two Magazines Included — why it matters: you get a spare right out of the box, saving you $40–$60 on extras.
Who It’s For
This pistol fits shooters who compete in USPSA or IDPA and want a factory-compensated gun. It also works for anyone who carries a service-size handgun and wants reduced recoil without sending the slide to a machine shop. If you’re building a race gun on a budget, the Raptor gives you a solid foundation.
Pros / Cons
- Pro: Factory comp means no NFA stamp, no gunsmith wait times, and it’s drop-in reliable.
- Pro: Optic-ready slide works with most RMR-pattern dots — Trijicon, Holosun, Swampfox.
- Pro: Price point under $500 for a compensated, optics-ready pistol is hard to beat.
- Con: The trigger is serviceable but not match-grade — expect a 5.5–6 lb pull with some take-up.

FAQ
Does the TISAS PX-9 Tactical Raptor come with a threaded barrel?
No, the barrel is not threaded. The compensator is pinned and welded to the barrel, making it a single unit. This keeps it legal in states with barrel-length restrictions and avoids NFA classification.
What optics fit the RMR cut?
The cut accepts Trijicon RMR, Holosun 407C/507C/508T, Swampfox Justice, and similar RMR-pattern dots. It does not fit the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro without an adapter plate.
Is the compensator removable?
No, it is permanently attached to the barrel. This is intentional — it keeps the gun reliable without needing tuning for different loads. If you want a non-compensated version, look at the standard PX-9.
What is the magazine capacity?
The gun ships with two 17-round magazines. For states with capacity restrictions, 10-round magazines are available separately.
