Blg Mauser 1911 22 LR 5 101 Walnut Grip

About this product

The Mauser 1911-22 is a rimfire training pistol built to the classic 1911 pattern, imported and distributed by Blue Line Solutions (also sold under the Blue Line Global name) and manufactured by GSG under license from Mauser. This listing features checkered walnut grips and a 5-inch barrel, chambered in the far less expensive .22 LR cartridge rather than a centerfire 1911 caliber.

What is a Mauser-licensed, GSG-built .22LR 1911?

This pistol is built by German Sport Guns (GSG), a manufacturer with a long track record of producing accurate, reliable rimfire trainers modeled after popular centerfire platforms, and it's sold under license using the Mauser name and branding. The result is a lightweight aluminum-frame-and-slide pistol that closely mirrors the size, weight balance, and manual of arms of a traditional Colt-pattern 1911, but chambered in .22 LR for a fraction of the ammunition cost and recoil of a centerfire 1911.

What are the full specs?

Chambered in .22 LR, this pistol runs a 5-inch threaded barrel with a 1:16 twist and 6 grooves, a 10-round magazine capacity, an overall length of 8.58 inches, and a weight of 2.15 pounds. It features an adjustable rear sight, an adjustable aluminum skeleton trigger with a 4.5-pound trigger pull, ambidextrous safety, and checkered double-diamond walnut grips on this configuration. Approximately 80 percent of the pistol's parts share compatibility with a standard centerfire 1911, and it includes both drop and firing pin safeties.

Who is this pistol built for?

This is an ideal training pistol for 1911 owners who want to practice trigger control, sight picture, and manual-of-arms fundamentals at a fraction of centerfire ammunition cost, since .22 LR is dramatically cheaper per round than any 1911-caliber centerfire cartridge. It's also a genuinely fun standalone range gun for shooters who enjoy the 1911 platform's feel but want low recoil and low-cost plinking, and the threaded barrel makes it a candidate for a rimfire suppressor where legal.

Because this is a firearm, it cannot ship to your home address. It transfers to a licensed FFL dealer near you, where you will complete a background check and the required paperwork in person before taking possession. California maintains its own certified handgun roster; several GSG rimfire 1911 variants have been sold specifically as California-legal configurations in the past, but buyers should still confirm current roster status for this exact walnut-grip configuration with their FFL before ordering.

Training on a dimensionally accurate rimfire 1911 like this one lets shooters build real trigger-press and grip consistency that transfers directly to a centerfire 1911, since the controls, safety locations, and general handling closely mirror the full-size platform rather than requiring the shooter to relearn a different manual of arms. That makes it a genuinely practical tool for anyone serious about improving with a 1911, not just a novelty plinker.

GSG has built a solid reputation over the years specifically in the rimfire-trainer space, producing .22 LR versions of popular centerfire platforms including AR-pattern rifles and various pistol designs, and the Mauser-branded 1911-22 line is one of the more mature, well-supported entries in that category. Spare magazines and basic replacement parts are generally easier to find for this pistol than for smaller-run rimfire conversion kits, which matters if you plan to put significant round counts through it as a genuine training tool rather than an occasional novelty range trip.
