This Chester County Armory listing is for a once-in-a-lifetime condition original British Sterling Mk 3 9x19mm Parabellum, C&R eligible, transferable sub machine gun that is in new, unfired condition, in its original box, with all original accessories and manuals. This spectacular model is exactly in the same condition and box that it would have been imported into the US over 60 years ago!

This amazing condition machine gun still has the original oil tape packing that was applied to the sharp edges in the factory in England. The exterior condition has been well-oiled and well preserved over its lifetime. We have carefully peeked under the protective wrap to ensure the original matte black crinkle finish is, in-fact, intact, which it appears to be perfectly preserved. It comes in its original shipping box with its serial number hand-written on the side of the box by the Sterling factory. The serial number is a “KR” prefix, indicating it was made by Sterling for commercial export. In the box, this weapon also includes its original bayonet, sling, and factory manual, as well as five 34rd original magazines (one of which has been unwrapped to ensure preservation). This weapon is in unbelievable condition for a gun that pre-dates the 1968 import cut-off to the US! There may not be another one left like it anywhere in the world!

The top of the receiver shows only some very minor marks from storage, however the rest of the original crinkle finish appears in near perfect condition. The metalwork notes no other dings, dents, gouges, scratches, malformations or markings outside of what has been already stated. The pictures note some minor flecks of cardboard due to the slow degradation of the carboard packing material attaching themselves to the oil that has been heavily applied to the weapon, but these flecks are easily removed with a silicone cloth. Chester County Armory has chosen to allow them untouched in the pictures to highlight the amazing condition that this weapon has been stored in throughout the years.

This original British-made Sterling Mk3 is Curio and Relic FFL eligible, and is a fully transferable sub machine gun. This model is currently on a Form 3 with the manufacturer listed as “Sterling” and the model as “MKIII.”
