HI Point YC9 Yeet Cannon 9MM Threaded Barrel Pistol

About this product

The Hi-Point YC9 "Yeet Cannon" is a real, factory-produced variant of Hi-Point's YC9 pistol line, marked with the Yeet Cannon branding on the slide and sold under the SKU YC9YEET. It pairs Hi-Point's known-for-affordability approach with a 4.12-inch threaded barrel, giving budget-conscious buyers a 9mm pistol with modern features like an accessory rail and optics-ready sights at a price well under most competitors.

Is "Yeet Cannon" a joke listing, or an actual Hi-Point product?

It's a genuine, factory-marked Hi-Point model. The company embraced the internet-meme nickname and released a limited-edition version of its YC9 pistol with "Yeet Cannon" stamped directly on the slide, which drew significant press coverage from gun media outlets when it launched. Functionally, it's the same YC9 platform underneath the branding — buyers aren't sacrificing anything mechanically for the novelty name.

What does the threaded barrel add to this pistol?

The 4.12-inch barrel is threaded 1/2-28, the standard 9mm thread pattern, allowing attachment of a compatible suppressor, compensator, or other muzzle device, subject to all applicable federal and state regulations. For a pistol at this price point, having a threaded barrel from the factory — rather than needing an aftermarket barrel swap — is a notable value-add for buyers interested in suppressor use.

How does Hi-Point's reputation factor into buying this pistol?

Hi-Point has built its brand around extremely affordable firearms backed by a lifetime warranty, and while the company's guns have historically been heavier and less refined than premium competitors, they have a long track record of basic reliability for the price. The YC9 represents a meaningful step up in features from Hi-Point's older C9 pistol, adding the threaded barrel, front and rear slide serrations, and improved grip texture, while keeping the brand's signature low price point intact.

What's the weight and size like?

At roughly 34.2 ounces with a 7.6-inch overall length, the YC9 is on the heavier side for a compact-to-full-size 9mm, reflecting Hi-Point's use of a zinc-alloy frame rather than the lighter polymer construction found in most modern pistols in this price range. That added weight does help dampen recoil somewhat, though it also makes the pistol less ideal for concealed carry compared to lighter polymer-framed alternatives.

Who is the YC9 Yeet Cannon aimed at?

It's best suited to budget-conscious buyers who want a reliable range pistol or backup gun with modern features like a threaded barrel and optics compatibility, without the higher price tag of mainstream striker-fired brands. Buyers prioritizing concealability, lighter weight, or premium fit and finish should look at other options, but for straightforward range use and value, the YC9 delivers on Hi-Point's long-standing value proposition.

As a firearm, this pistol ships to a licensed FFL dealer rather than to your home address; you'll complete your background check and required paperwork there before taking possession. California buyers should confirm current compliance status for this model with their FFL before ordering.

What does Hi-Point's lifetime warranty actually cover?

Hi-Point has built much of its reputation around a no-questions-asked lifetime warranty that transfers even to secondhand owners, covering mechanical issues with the pistol for as long as you own it. For buyers weighing this pistol's lower price and heavier zinc-alloy frame against premium polymer competitors, that warranty backing is part of the overall value proposition — it's a meaningfully different ownership experience than most budget firearms offer.
