Springfield P9C 9mm 14-Round Used Trade-In Pistol

If you have been looking for a reliable, no-nonsense compact 9mm that won’t break the bank, the springfield p9c 9mm 14-round used trade-in pistol deserves a serious look. This is a classic example of Springfield Armory’s polymer-frame engineering from the early 2000s, built to deliver consistent performance in a concealable package. We have gone through a batch of these trade-ins to find the ones that still show solid mechanical function and honest holster wear. Each pistol is a used firearm, but it represents real value for the California shooter who understands that a proven platform beats a shiny unknown every time.

Overview

This pistol is a full-size grip on a compact slide, giving you a 14-round magazine capacity that is rare in the compact category. The springfield p9c 9mm 14-round used trade-in pistol features a forged steel slide, a polymer frame with an integral accessory rail, and a traditional double-action/single-action trigger system. These pistols were originally made in Croatia under license for Springfield Armory, and they have a well-earned reputation for being overbuilt and durable. The trade-in guns we have typically show finish wear on the slide and grip texture, but the internals are tight and the barrels show good rifling. You will get a pistol that has been test-fired and function-checked, with no box or papers.

Features & Specs

  • Action: DA/SA (double-action first pull, single-action follow-ups) with a decocking lever. The trigger pull is heavy on the first shot but crisp on subsequent shots.
  • Capacity & Caliber: 14+1 rounds of 9mm. This is a standard-capacity magazine that will ship to California FFLs as a rebuild kit or blocked to comply with state law (see shipping details).
  • Sights: Fixed 3-dot steel sights. These are low-profile and snag-resistant, ideal for concealed carry or range work.
  • Barrel Length: 3.5 inches, with a 1:10 twist rate. The barrel is cold hammer-forged and shows minimal wear on our inspected units.
  • Overall Length: 7.1 inches. Height is 5.4 inches with the flush magazine. Weight is approximately 25 ounces unloaded.

The springfield p9c 9mm 14-round used trade-in pistol also includes an integral Picatinny rail for lights or lasers, a lanyard loop on the base, and an ambidextrous safety/decocker. This is a true duty-grade pistol that found its way into law enforcement holsters before being traded in.

Who It’s For

This pistol is for the California buyer who values substance over flash. If you are a first-time handgun owner on a budget, a reloader looking for a robust 9mm platform, or a collector who appreciates the early Springfield XD lineage, this trade-in fits. It is not a safe queen. It is a working gun that will feed a steady diet of ball ammo and hollow points without complaint. The DA/SA trigger takes some practice, but it gives you a manual safety combined with a long first pull that many shooters prefer for carry. If you have ever wanted a compact pistol that can double as a home defense tool and a range beater, this is exactly the springfield p9c 9mm 14-round used trade-in pistol you are looking for.

Shipping & FFL

This pistol is sold as a used firearm and will ship to a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer in California. Because California has specific magazine capacity restrictions, the 14-round magazine will be shipped disassembled as a “rebuild kit” or will be blocked to a 10-round capacity, depending on current state regulations. You must have a valid FFL dealer willing to accept the transfer and process the required California DOJ paperwork, including the 10-day waiting period and DROS fee. We cannot ship to PO boxes or APO addresses for handguns. Please confirm with your receiving FFL that they accept trade-in firearms before placing your order. This is a cash-and-carry transaction with no returns on used firearms, but we guarantee it will function as described.
