S&W Performance Center SW22 Victory 22 LR 6IN Red Dot

About this product

The Smith & Wesson Performance Center SW22 Victory Target Model is a purpose-built .22 LR competition and target pistol, and this listing includes a factory-mounted red dot sight — a significant upgrade over the base SW22 Victory for shooters who want to compete or train with an optic from day one.

What sets the Performance Center Target Model apart from the standard SW22 Victory?

The Performance Center version uses a 6-inch fluted, stainless steel target barrel with a custom muzzle brake designed to noticeably reduce muzzle flip during rapid strings of fire — a meaningful advantage in bullseye and rimfire speed competition. The frame is stainless steel with a Picatinny top rail, and the pistol ships with two 10-round magazines and Tandemkross HiveGrips featuring aggressive texture and a built-in thumb rest for a more stable, repeatable grip.

What red dot comes mounted on this pistol?

Factory-mounted red dot configurations on this model have included optics such as a 6 MOA-dot sight pre-installed and zeroed at the factory, saving the buyer the time and cost of purchasing and mounting an optic separately. Confirm the specific optic model included with this listing before ordering if a particular reticle size or footprint matters for your setup.

What are the pistol's core specs?

This model holds 10+1 rounds of .22 LR, weighs about 37.6 ounces, and measures roughly 11.25 inches long and 5.5 inches tall. It uses a single-action trigger with a flat-faced trigger shoe, a steel-reinforced polymer thumb safety, and a beveled magazine well to speed up reloads during competition strings.

Who is this pistol built for?

This is a dedicated target and competition pistol, not a general-purpose plinker or defensive handgun. The fluted target barrel, muzzle brake, red dot, and competition-oriented grips are all features aimed at shooters training for or competing in rimfire bullseye, steel challenge, or similar disciplines where trigger control and sight tracking matter more than concealability or capacity.

Is this pistol legal to buy in California, and how does it ship?

California's handgun roster requirements apply per exact model and configuration, so confirm current California compliance for this specific red-dot-equipped Performance Center configuration with your FFL before ordering. As a firearm, it ships only to a licensed FFL dealer for transfer, background check, and any required waiting period — never to a home address.

Why has the SW22 Victory platform earned such a strong reputation?

Since its introduction, the base SW22 Victory has built a following among rimfire competitors and hobbyists alike for its accuracy, straightforward takedown, and value relative to boutique custom .22 pistols. The Performance Center line takes that already-respected foundation and adds factory-level refinements — the fluted target barrel, competition grips, and now a pre-mounted optic — that many owners of the base Victory eventually add themselves piecemeal, bundling that upgrade path into a single purchase. For shooters progressing from casual plinking into structured competition, that's real money and time saved compared to sourcing and fitting each upgrade separately, and it means the pistol arrives ready to compete rather than needing a round of gunsmithing first. It's a sensible next step for anyone who has outgrown a base-model rimfire pistol.

For rimfire competitors who want a factory-tuned target pistol with an optic already mounted and zeroed, this Performance Center SW22 Victory configuration removes a lot of the setup work that shooters would otherwise handle themselves.
